Porridge
Porridge in any its manifestation was the card of the Russian cuisine, the same, as kvass, shchi (cabbage soup) and rasstegai. However lately people became preconceived to it. Cereals dishes became «out of fashion». But in vain: porridge cooking does not demand special efforts, it is favorable in the financial relation, and is completely irreplaceable product for those who cares for their health.
Millet porridge with apples
Ingredients:
7,0548 oz millet,
21,1644 oz milk,
1 table-spoon sugar,
3,5274 oz waters,
2 apples,
2 table-spoon butter,
2 table-spoon sour creams.
Millet is filled up with hot milk and cooked up to readiness.
Peel apples and cut it into pieces.
Prepare sugar syrup: dissolve sugar in hot water and boil it thoroughly for 10 minutes.
Put apples in ready syrup and boil them for about 5 minutes.
In ready porridge we add apples, melted butter and sour cream. All this is thoroughly mixed, placed in small pots and cooked till readiness in the oven.
